A Changing World: New England in the Photographs of Verner Reed, 1950-1972
Edited by John R. Stomberg. HC
A beautifully produced edition, printed in rich black-and-white duotones, with an essay by photo historian John R. Stomberg. The 96-page book surveys the work of photographer Verner Reed, who worked for Life, Time, Fortune, Vermont Life, and various other leading publications. His images present a cross-section of life in New England in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, from politics to the arts and common, everyday moments. The Verner Reed Collection is now in the Library and Archives of Historic New England.
