Connecticut's Historic Gardens Day

Celebrate the fifteenth annual Connecticut's Historic Gardens Day with a guided tour of the formal parterre garden at Roseland Cottage, chosen by Connecticut Magazine as Connecticut's Best Public Garden. Learn the history, significance, and theory behind the garden layout and design, and how that design reflects the theories of Andrew Jackson Downing. Guided tours on the hour.

Jana Milbocker will be present to sign her recently published The Garden Tourist: 120 Destination Gardens and Nurseries in the Northeast. Roseland Cottage and several other Historic New England gardens are featured in the book.
